So here I am, once again sitting in the Qantas club waiting for my plane on the way to TRAFFIC in Santa Clara. The only difference this time is that I’m in Sydney rather than Melbourne as I wanted to board the A380 (really big plane) as it has power for every seat (ie. Laptop can work the 15 hours or so journey).

So what are my expectations for the conference? I must admit it that I’m fairly excited by this one even despite the long journey. The excitement came after I did a whole heap of research for the sessions that I’m involved in on Tuesday.

The first session is about Google and Yahoo. Is it a fact, that we need to say “yes sir” when they speak? Is the whole domain industry so trapped in the revenue from these two giant companies that we can’t afford to tick them off? I beg to differ on this....and I think it should provoke some interesting discussion.

Essentially the title of the second sessions asks the question as to whether PPC will continue or not. As normal I’ve taken a nose dive into a lot of stats that should prove to be really interesting.

So think of me as I’m cut off from the Internet for the next 15 hours or so. I just dream that one day the airlines will realise that providing connectivity onboard would be bliss for passengers. In the meantime, I think that I’ll stretch back and continue reading Richard Branson’s latest book.
