Yes it's true! One of the nicest guys in the domain industry, Alan Hack, is turning 50 today! If you don't know Alan then all you need to do is ask another domainer and they'll point you in the right direction. He's one of the silent achievers in the industry that has bought, sold and brokered millions of dollars with of domains over the years.
 I first had the privilege of meeting Alan at one of the very first TRAFFIC conferences and since that time I've come to respect him as a fellow domain owner, as an astute businessman but more importantly as a man of high integrity. Every business dealing I've witnessed him being involved in has resulted in all parties feeling that they have received a fair deal. In this day and age that's no small accomplishment!
I am very honoured to count Alan as a close friend and the hours that we have spent with each other at the various conferences or on international skype calls has resulted in me getting some tremendous insights into Domaining as well as some great business.
I would like to personally wish Alan a very Happy 50th Birthday! I'm sure that his wife Isadora has a few surprises in store for him as a part of the celebrations so I would like to wish you both all the best on this special occasion.
