Donations are starting to come in from around the world as the domainer community reaches into its wallet to help those in desperate need. So far $534.69 has been donated to help the victims and I hope and pray that more will be coming soon.

firegraphicThe fires in Victoria, Australia continue to rage out of control with the death toll currently at over 181 dead and 4,000 now homeless. Here is a link to the a webpage with a picture of some of the victims (http://www.theage.com.au/interactive/2009/national/darkestday/people.html). The Victorian coroner has indicated that sadly many of those that have passed away will not be able to be definitively identified due to the bodies being completely unrecognisable.

The town of Marysville which is only 96 kilometers from Melbourne doesn't exist anymore with the confirmed death toll in the town at 15 with a suspected 50 - 100 likely. "It's just flat ash. It's like it was never there," resident, Mr Peterson said yesterday. Click hear to view a complete article on Marysville.

Here is a link to a news article from channel 7 in Melbourne that shows just how ferocious the fires have been - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7klZ3_F6ekI

Please send donations to my paypal account and as I stated in a previous article I will be providing access to the account to my church (they are co-ordinating a massive effort to help the victims) to ensure that ALL funds are transferred through to them.  In addition, Ron Jackson (editor of dnJournal) has agreed to check my paypal account to ensure that all funds have been transferred through - many thanks for doing this Ron!
