Since returning from TRAFFIC in Miami I've been run off my feet with real business. ParkLogic has experienced massive growth and quality customers continue to contact us to discuss how we can help them out. This tells me two things:

1.    TRAFFIC was definitely worth attending.
2.    There is a real need for a proper domain management system.

Saturday musingsWithout sounding like a sales pitch what is it that is attracting big domain owners to ParkLogic? Is it the fact that we've developed the platform on robust Fortune 500 technology or is it the management tools and reports? I think that every domain owner has a unique perspective on what they find works for them.

What we have found is that we've made ParkLogic so extensive that at first it can be a little overwhelming. For example, you can keep track of sales opportunities, view what a page looks like for your domains at a multitude of monetisation solutions or even segment your portfolio of domains on a risk basis. This last point bears further thought.

In the past sales transactions have been made by domain owners selling or buying groups of domains. What you can now do is segment your portfolio by risk which then allows sellers to justify a higher selling price for domains that are less risky. It also allows sellers to make decisions such as selling off their higher less financially stable domains. This is a very different approach to buying and selling domains that allows either buyers or sellers to extract greater rewards from their purchases or sales. Digging into data pays great dividends and it's both how you slice it up and how you interpret the data that will provide the ultimate benefit.

As mentioned previously the ParkLogic system is very extensive and growing all the time with new features and tools to manage domain assets. What we have found challenging is to educate the domain community on how to best use these tools so that they can save and make money. We're now doing demonstrations of the system and we're slowly working our way through our customers to help them get real value from all that's now available. Let me know if you would like a demonstration - I can be contact on whizzbang01 (skype) or via the phone number on the ParkLogic website (remember we are in Australia!).

In the meantime.....I'm back to studying for my Night VFR flying test!
