My first was about $75.00 US and I had to save to get it, but I was only 16 and working part time after school. That was a long time ago around 1969.

Sometimes in the quest for more customers, we get unwanted results. Now to deal with the negative and get back on track. I know about the time I get the food for the Hummingbirds right, they switch to flowers and such leaving my feeders untouched. I don't want to keep the feeders going past fall, or they won't migrate, so some preplanning is needed. Once the flowers run their course, they will be back hammering the feeders, draining 3 in a day. Keeps me busy.

  • On another note, here in the states I have only seen 1 Cockatoo at a time, never a flock of them. Must be different in Australia. Cool though. We are lucky to get BlueJays or lots of Humming birds.

I have had over 80+ cars and trucks , and motorcycles over the years, but my first was a 1954 Chevrolet 2 dr hardtop. Leaked oil everywhere, but ran like a top. It being the 70s I traded it for a 1955 Volkswagon bus and so began my experience owning many cars. I have had some nice ones and some real POS, but they all gave some good memories and you learn fast that it is like a pet and needs attention if you plan to get anywhere in one piece. First car with airbags, whats the world coming too, Lol? Airconditioning through holes in the floor, that beats 4/60,( 4 windows down at 60 miles per hour).

  • I will agree Good advice. Can't ever feel too good to eat some humble pie and roll back to square 1. It actually makes you stronger, more resourceful.

I can remember a friend that had no phone at all. Her father eventually put a pay phone in the house, ( remember pay phones? ), and they had to actually use their allowance to make calls with a time limit set to be fair for the whole family. We actually have a rotary dial phone that works, we don't use it , but They were the only thing for a long time. I brought it out to use in a game, Obduction, that required the number sequence to solve a puzzle. Really old school and dating myself.

These days phones are used for babysitters , ( do you really know what your kids are doing on the phone?) and trending, and much other keeping up with the latest type stuff. They were originally for communication, but as you said, they are managing us, controlling many lives. At least they will if you let them. I would not mind at all if they all quit working and people go back to talking for real, not hiding behind their phones.

I seem to remember 1 to 3 am as being the time you find most of the answers. Interesting. I hear that writing code is to be a school requirement here in the states or already is. But you are right, if you just keep putting a band-aid on the project, the monster just grows larger until you say enough already and face it head on. Once it is working properly, you can relax, maybe. In relationships, hopefully there has not been too much damage done and you can still save it. I can respect that you still like to be hands on so you can relate on all levels.

  • Thanks Michael, I am trying to stay busy. I may not get to travel, but I am happy with helping and getting my projects done. I learned long ago, the only person i need to be happy with is the one I see in the mirror. That and I can't believe I am 65. I don't feel it.

You can be anything you want to be, it just takes hard work and dedication. Something I hope these young people have in them. I always love listening to you talk about the Domain business and the business savy you have. You could have applied that enthusiasm and direction to almost anything, and been a success. It shows in how you just love to share that knowledge and experience with anyone who will pay attention and Listen, and learn. I feel that there are special people that you are supposed to meet in your lifetime to get something from. You are definitely one of those people I was supposed to meet.

Thank for you being you and crossing my path. Of all places a computer game, LOL.
