During the time that you have been DDOSing my personal blog I want to let you know what I've been doing. I have been communicating all of your activities, messages in referrer URLS etc with the Domaining community via my Facebook account. I have not stopped at all and I will never stop trying to expose activities that are detrimental to the long-term viability of the domain industry. No matter how many times you DDOS I will always be there. You are a bully and deserved to be stood up to. I will not back down.
In my experience there are two ways of dealing with bullies. The first is my normal preference, run away! This wasn't possible due to the nature of the attack that you inflicted. The second is to get your own bullies and makes sure that they're really big. This I've done.
I've now been in contact with the following organisations: . Victorian Police . Australian Federal Police . Internet Industry Association of Australia . Computer Emergency Response Team . Australia . Computer Emergency Response Team . USA . Secret Service . Cyber crime division . Federal Bureau of Investigation . Attorney General Australia . My hosting provider . CloudFlare.com . brilliant service BTW!
Many of these organisations were very interested in your threats and all of the data that I provided them on the DDOS attack. A number of the law enforcement bodies are now trawling through the data and backtracking to you. They may not get you today, tomorrow or even years from now but the hand of the law is long and it never forgets. The next time you go to sleep at night just imagine what it would be like to wake-up to the front door being smashed in by police coming to get you. This is not Hollywood this is reality.
I have spoken with many of my fellow blogging friends and in the event that they are attacked many have agreed to provide similar logs to the authorities. Never forget that every time you attack someone you are leaving little electronic markers that can be traced...one day you will make a mistake and you will be found. My fellow bloggers, like me, are tired of you dragging our industry through the mud and slime of fraud and destructive behaviour. Grow up and realise that providing value to advertisers with genuine good traffic is not a right but an obligation that every good domainer takes seriously.
Here is what I'm now offering you. A chance at redemption. Stop your activities and learn to be a real upright and honest domainer. Apologise to me and anyone else that you have DDOSed and be welcomed into the Domaining community as a person that has made some bad decisions and has since changed their ways. My door is always open and I would be happy to have an open conversation with you.
Regards,
Michael Gilmour
