Industry Update - 4 Feb 2021

What a great week it's been since NamesCon

I can’t believe that it’s already been a week since NamesCon Online. I actually delivered last week’s update at NamesCon so I do apologize to readers who missed it…..well, now I’m back at work and this week’s statistics are incredible.

In this week’s video I share a few thoughts about NamesCon and how it was an absolutely incredibly event. I’m really sorry if you missed it but don’t make the same mistake twice and grab your registration early for the next one.

This past week I’ve fallen in love with ClubHouse….it’s a lot of fun meeting new domain investors in the various rooms and more than that it’s been a privilege to share some thoughts on the industry. If you aren’t in ClubHouse then see if you can spring an invite and take part in the next big thing.

Industry Update - 21 Jan 2021

It’s not long to NamesCon Online and despite attending from 12am until 7am my local time I can’t wait for it. I’m getting all geared up for my various presentations and pulling from our masses of data at ParkLogic so attendees can get a great amount of value from the sessions.

Domain Update - 14th Jan 2021

The first industry update for 2021

This is the first industry update for 2021 and the changes that have occurred since the last one in mid-December 2020 have been incredible. The statistics show some big changes in how both Google and the Direct Advertising networks are paying out on domain traffic….and it’s all good for domain investors.

I’m sure that every professional investor will get a lot out of the numbers, statistics and charts as I unpack what is happening in the domain monetization industry. My goal is that with this knowledge you can then buy, sell and earn greater amounts of money from your domain portfolio.

Industry Update – 18th Dec 2020

Amazing data revealed!

Data, data everywhere! I can’t believe that the year is nearly over and yet there are still incredible gems revealing themselves in the data. This time I dive into correlations that are completely contradictory compared to what the industry would expect.

For instance, there is absolutely no correlation between the click through rate and revenue for some monetization providers. This was a big surprise as isn’t the industry based upon pay-per-click? What the data ends up revealing is that as the click through rate changes there is NO change to the revenue….doh!

Fossicking around the data reveals many more of these unusual facts so don’t forget to click on the video and spend a few minutes getting your brain turned inside out. Data, data everywhere….

Before I forget, this will be my last post before Christmas so Merry Christmas to everyone and may 2021 be a heck of lot better than 2020. Keep safe and go and hug a loved one.
