Domainers Network Update

There’s been a flurry of activity on the Domainers Network with individuals joining groups, making friends and doing some business together. I’ve always wanted to create a social network for just domain investors and those in the domain industry and now it looks like it’s all coming together.

If you are a part of the Domainers Network you will also see a lot of articles, videos etc. posted from research that I’ve been conducting on a wide range of topics. Anything from ICANN news right through to cryptocurrencies….if I think it’s an interesting read then I’ll post it in the Network. I would like to encourage others to also post interesting articles that they find as well.

You can view the list of public groups by clicking on the menu item....also anyone can create their own group and set it to be either public or by invitation only. For instance, I’ve just added a public group called Crypto-currencies as a place to post and discuss anything about cryptos such as bitcoin, Ethereum, Ripple etc. After creating the group I then posted a poll question asked whether Bitcoin is going to go above $25,000?

I know that many domain investors are also investing in crypto-currencies so it would be interesting to get your input on what you think will be the limits of this new technology. For instance, how much will Coinbase adding more currencies for trading affect the price of coins? It’s a good question and one that I would love to see discussed in the crypto group.

Whether you are new or old to the domain industry you can also click on the “People” menu item to list those people already in the network. From here you can send friend requests or follow individuals that you feel would be interesting… could even start a private conversation about a domain name you are looking to buy.

Of course, you can always invite friends to the Domainers Network that aren’t already onboard. To do this, just select your profile image and choose the invite friends menu item....or you can just click here. You'll get the most out of the Domainers Network by inviting your domain investing friends and generally by getting involved.

I mentioned in a previous post that there is an events area of the Domainers Network. I would like to encourage everyone that plans on attending NamesCon to click here to let people know you’ll be going. It helps everyone get the most out of the conference by arranging meetings through the network with one another. Don't hesitate to add an event if you know of a local domaining event being run.

A great feature of the Domainers Network is every member is provided with a selectable permalink to their profile page. You can configure your own by choosing your profile and then choosing “edit profile” in the top right-hand corner. For instance, the permalink to my profile is: You can share your permalink with colleagues, potential buyers etc. to help them get to know you contact you via the Domainers Network.

I would also like to encourage members to post photos of past domain conferences and events. There’s a wealth of memories out there that, if shared, I’m sure would put a smile on many faces.

I’ll continue to highlight new different features of the Domainers Network in future blog posts. In the meantime, why not join? It only takes a couple of minutes to become a member and take part in a growing network of domain investors. You never know, some of the ideas that are shared may completely transform your business!
